MONTHLY MEETINGS. TINUI. ("Tinies-Age" Special.) i The monthly meeting of the Tinui [ Women's Institute was held in the ; Tinui Hull when Mrs I. Speedy pre- ' sided over a sm?.!l attendance oi members. Mrs Bed: gave a most interesting demonstration on millinery, which was much appreciated by members. The results of the competitions were as follow: —Knitted vest: Mrs S. Schofield, J; Mrs Beck, 2; Mrs Johnston, 3. Melting moments: Miss Mac Alister, l;j Mrs I. Speedy. 2; Mrs S. Schofield. 3. Best bloom: Mrs S. Schofield, 1; Mrs Beck. 2. The hostesses were Misses Langdon and Junker. MT. BRUCE. Tiie monthly meeting of the ML Bruce. Women's Institute was held al Mrs C. J. Campbell’s residence, Mrs H. 'West presiding. Mrs S. J. Munn gave demonstrations in the making of a crochet cake basket and a lea cosy. Plans were discussed for Miss Cox Johnson’s visit in August. 'rhe competitions resulted as follow: —Best bloom: Miss Reader, 1; Miss Campbell. 2. Apple shortcake: Mrs D. McLachlan, 1; Miss V. Reader, 2; Mrs Banks, 3. The next meeting will be held at the residence of Miss Campbell, '‘Riverside.” The competition will be: "Something from an old felt hat.”
