ART EXHIBITION
OPENING TOMORROW IN MASTERTON. President Roosevelt, in opening a recent exhibition of art in New York, said he believed that art, in times of war and national emergency, was of the utmost value as an intellectual stimulant and as a distraction from the tragedy <jf a world of gas-masks and destruction. Some of the work done by Mr and Mrs R. B. Maelennan, A’s.R.C.A., in Eaglr.nd after the outbreak of war will be included in the exhibition by members of the Mastertan Art Club, which opens tomorrow night in the Town Hall. Other recent work done by Mr and Mrs Maelennan since they came to live in Masterton is included in the exhibition, along with a wide variety of work by other members of the Masterion Art Club-, Proceeds of the exhibition. for which a small admission charge is being; made, will be given to Patriotic fund?. Attention is drawn to the advertisement appearing today.
