GOLD MINING
COMPANY RETURNS. Big River Gold Mines, Limited, report the following gold returns for the month of May: Battery department: 80 tons of ore crushed for a return of 103 oz of melted gold. Cyanide department: This has not been cleaned up. Estimated value, £790. Concentrates: In addition to the above 15cwt of concentrates were saved, valued at £25. Note: In estimating the above, gold has been taken at £8 an oz. The Snowy River dredge returned 51 ounces for 105 hours from 17,000 yards. The Argo return totalled 28 ounces for 109 hours from 9,000 yards.
