DUTCH INFLEXIBLE
JAPANESE DELEGATE’S REPORT ON TRADE NEGOTIATIONS. REVISION OF INSTRUCTIONS SUGGESTED. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.10 p.m.) BATAVIA, June 8. "The Dutch reply is unsatisfactory on certain major points and in view of my instructions from Tokio it appears improbable that an agreement will be reached," said Mr Yoshizawa, head of the Japanese mission which has boon conducting negotiations for a .trade agreement. The only chance of reaching an-agreomonl is for Tokio to revise my instructions." In a radio telephone talk to the newspaper “Nichi Nichi Shimbun," Mr Yoshizawa said: "The Dutch arc inflexible, and unless they change their attitude, Japan's delegation must leave the Indies." A semi-official East Indies news agency says the Indies Government has strictly maintained its stand for the independence of the Indies economy and measures to prevent Indies supplies from reaching Germany.
