A TRIPLE CROWN WINNER. WHIRLAW RECORD. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright! (Received This Day, 12.10 p.m.) NEW YORK. June 8. Whirlaway became the fifth horse in history to win a triple crown in American racing, winning the 25,000 dollars Belmont Stakes and adding this victory to the Derby and the Preakness Stakes at the Pimlico meeting. Whirlaway ran 1J miles in 2.31 and carried 9.0.
