Mark, Public Service Commissioner, collapsed In Parliament Buildings, while on Ids way to see the Hon H. G. Mason. Medical attention was obtained, but MrMark was dead when a doctor arrived. Mr Mark, who was appointed Public Service Commissioner in 1938, was born at Waitahuna in 1887. He joined the Public Service Commissioner’s office in 1913 and rose through various grades to Deputy Public Service Commissioner and Joint Commissioner in 1936.
