NO ACCEPTANCE

OF NEW ORDER IN EAST ASIA AND NO SUPPLIES FOR ENEMY. DUTCH REPLY TO JAPAN. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) BATAVIA. June 7. The Netherlands’’ reply to Japan’s demands is based on three main points:— Firstly: No political interference and firmly rejecting overtures direct or otherwise to include the East Indies in the “New Order in East Asia.” Secondly: No economic vassalage. Thirdly: No supplies to the enemy under any guise. The Dutch have not completely closed the door because they declared they are willing to continue on a reasonable basis as hitherto in co-operating to develop economic relations between both countries.
