HOSPITAL MATRON

FAREWELLED THIS MORNING. PRESENTATION FROM INDOOR STAFF. Members of the indoor staff of the Masterton Hospital met this morning to farewell the matron, Miss M. _F. Barnett, who has resigned her position to take up a war appointment with the Department of Health. Miss Barnett was presented with a bouquet and a dinner set. Mr A. L. Askew, on behalf of the staff referred to the many kindnesses and courtesies received from Miss Barnett. Mr Norman Lee, secretary-manager of the Wairarapa Hospital Board made the presentation to Miss Barnett. Miss Barnett, who was accorded musical honours, returned thanks.
