MASTERTON SALE
The Associated Auctioneers report:— A fair yarding of sheep was forward at the weekly sale at Masterton yesterday. There was a good attendance of buyers. Fat wethers were not in keen demand, but fat ewes were sought. A total clearance was effected on a firmer market. Store hoggets and wethers; sold particularly well. Store ewes sold at late rates. ■Cattle made satisfactory values,' though the offering was small. Prices are: — Sheep: Fat wethers, 22s fid to 23s 6d;l fat S.D. wethers, to 235; fat b.f. twotooths, 19s 3d to 20s. 6d; fat hoggets, 20s 3d to 24s fid; fat ewes, 10s to 12s : 7d; light fat ewes, 8s to 9s fid; fat S.D. ewes, to 15s; good woolly wether hoggets, 10s to 19s 7d; medium, 11s, 12s 6d, ■ 13s 3d to 14s; small wether hoggets, 7s’ 4d to 10s 3d; b.f. hoggets, 12s fid to 16s' lOd; fat and forward wethers, 20s Cd' to 225; f.m. ewes, 8s to 10s; store ewes.i 5s 6d to 7s; ewe hoggets, to 17s. ; Cattle: Fat P.A. cows, to £6 17s; fat' P.A. cows and heifers, to £6 12s; light; fat P.A. cows, to £6; forward cows, to£4 10s; store Jersey cows, to 365. Horses: Young hacks. £lO to £l5. ‘
