Jamal Madfai, appointed Prime Minister by Royal decree, is heading the nevz Ministry, a majority of the members of which are known for having previously co-operated with the British. KjT.'dfai, who is aged fifty-five, is one of’, the elder statesmen and has been thrice previously Prime Minister. BOY KING OF IRAQ ARRIVAL IN BAGDAD. DISPOSAL OF FALSE REPORTS. The Bagdad correspondent of the “Daily Mail” says that the boy King of Iraq has arrived there from the Royal summer palace, where he went with the Queen Mother when the revolt broke out, thus disposing of the reports that he is in Iran.
A Bagdad telegram received in Vichy says that the Regent of Iraq has charged a former Prime Minister with lhe formation of a new Government.
