Prices of fruit and vegetables in the Wellington markets are quoted as follow: — Grapes, 2s to 2s lOd lb: passion fruit, 12s to"27s a half case; grapefruit. New Zealand, 10s to 15s a bushel case: lemons, Meyer 10s to 14s a half case; Chinese gooseberries, 10s to 17s Cd a half case; Cape gooseberries, 4s 6d to 5s Cd a half case; tree tomatoes, 5s to Ils a half case. Tomatoes, Hutt, ripe 8s to 12s a half case; Hutt, round 10s to 20s; beans, hothouse lOd to Is Cd a lb; green peas, choice 40s to Gls 6d a sack; pumpkins, 2s to 8s sack. Potatoes, 8s to 12s a cwt; onions, 4s to 10s Gd a cental bag; kumeras, Ils 3d a sugar bag. Sprouts, 12s to 17s a bushel case; cabbage, 2s Gd to 7s 9d a sack; cauliflowers, 5s 6d to 18s 9d a sack; lettuce, 2s to 14s 6d a case; silver beet, Is to 2s 6d a case; marrows, 2s Gd to 4s a case; spinach. 5s to 15s a case. Swedes, 3s to 7s a case; leeks.
