AIR COMMANDS
CHANGE IN MIDDLE EAST. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY. June 1. The appointment of Air Chief Marshal Sir A. M. Lcngmore to be Inspec-tor-General of the Royal Air Force, succeeding Air Marshal Sir W. G. S. Mitchell, is one of several higher command changes announced by the Air Ministry. Air Chief Marshal Lrms.--more has been in Britain since thtTSeginning of May, advising the Air Ministry on air problems in the Middle East. His place in the Middle East is taken by acting-Air Marshal A. W. Tedder, who has been second-in-com-mand in the Middle East since last November. He has been promoted temporarily Air Marshal.
