BRITISH OFFICIAL PROPAGANDA DISCUSSED AT LABOUR CONFERENCE. VOICE DEMANDED IN VITAL DECISIONS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day. 1.5 p.m.) LONDON. June 2. The fortieth annual conference of the Labour Party has opened. Over 600 delegates assembled. Mr J. Walker (Lab. M.P. for Motherwell) who presided, said events had proved that the decision to enter the Government Was a right one. Labour realised that if Britain were defeated it would mean disaster to Labour. . Mr Harold Laski, in a speech on behalf of the executive, threatened that Labour would no longer co-operate with the 8.8. C. and Ministry of Information unless more consideration was given to Labour’s viewpoint. Delegates complained that the Ministry was being used principally as a medium for Tory propaganda. Mr Laski said British propaganda to the occupied territories was likely to become "a proper gander for proper geese" and would play little part in influencing the minds of people. A Labour representative should be appointed to the Ministry, with a voice in vital decisions,
