It is officially stated that as a result ol' the bombs dropped on Dublin early on Saturday morning at least 27 people were killed and SO injured, and considerable damage was done to property. Further bombs were dropped near Arklow on Sunday morning. There were. no casualties, but some damage was done to property. Investigations have shown that the bombs were of German origin, and therefore Eire is protesting in the strongest terms to Germany against the violation of Irish territory, claiming compensation and reparation, and seeking definite assurances that German planes will be instructed not to fly over Irish territory or territorial waters.
