OBITUARY
MRS F. A. JUDD. The friends of Mrs F. A. Judd, of 87 Cole Street, will regret to hear of her death, which occurred this morning at a private hospital in Wellington. She was the third daughter of the late Mr and Mrs W. S. Dickens, of “Riverside,” Tinui. Mrs Judd was a devoted member of St. Matthew’s Church. An active member of the Ladies’ Guild she was associated with all the work of the parish. Her gracious and charming personality endeared her to all, and she was always alert to seize opportunities of service. Ever since its inception she was a worker for Sedgley Home. In addition to her work for the church she took an active part in all community efforts and was a keen member of the League of Mothers, acting as magazine secretary for many years. • I Her husband predeceased her 18 years ago and she is survived by one! son, Stratford, and two daughters, Misses Betty and Nancy Judd, all of Masterton. The Son is a pilot in the Air Force. The funeral will take place on Thursday, leaving St. Matthew’s Church, following a service at 2.30 p.m. for the Masterton Cemetery.
