XTOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, ptimtant to Section 54 of "The Ruting Act, 1925.” that it is the intention of the Mauriceville County Council, al its next meeting ,to be held on MONDAY, the 9th day of June, 1941. at 11 a.m.. at the County Office. Mauriceville, to make and levy a GENERAL RATE OF ONE AND FIVE-EIGHTHS OF A PENNY IN THE £ on the Capital Value of all Rateable property in the County of Mauriceville for the year ending the 31st day of March, 1942. AND ALSO to collect sufficient of the Annual Recurring Special Rates in respect of the several Special Rating Areas in the said County, to provide for the payment of the Annual Instalments and Interest on several Special Loans raised in respect of those Areas. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT all such rates shall become payable on the 16th day of July, 1941, at the County Office, or at my office, Leecroft Chambers, Masterton, and that the Valuation Rolls are open for inspection. ESTIMATE OF EXPENDITURE. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that it is the intention of the Council, at a meeting to be held in the County Council Chambers, Martinborough, on FRIDAY, the 13ih day of June. 1941. under the provisions of Section 120 of the Counties Act. 1920. and amendments thereto, to make and levy:— A GENERAL RATE of Two Pence (2d) in the £ sterling on the unimproved value of all rateable properties appearing in the Valuation Rolls of the nine respective Ridings of the County. ALSO under the provisions of Section 52 of “The Hospital and Charitable Institutions A.ct. 1926,” to make and levy A HOSPITAL AND CHARITABLE RATE of Nine-Sixteenths of a Penny (9-16 d in the £ sterling on the unimproved value of all rateable properties appearing in the Valuation Rolls of the nine respective Ridings of the County. ALSO, pursuant to a Special Order under Sections 60 and 101 of “The River Boards Act, 1908.” made on the sth day of May, 1937, by the Waiohine River Board, to make and levy:— A GENERAL RATE of One Farthing (;}d) in the £ sterling on the capital value of all lands within the Waiohine River Board Separate Rating District. AND ALSO, under the provisions of "The Water Supply Act, 1908,” and amendments thereto, to make and levy separate rates for the maintenance of Water Races within the respective Water Race districts as follows: — A SEPARATE RATE of One and Seven-eighths Pence (IJd) in the £ sterling on the unimproved value of all rateable properties within the Feathers-ton-Longwood Water Race ' Separate Rating District, including the Tauherenikau subdivision thereof. A SEPARATE RATE of Three Pence (3d) in the £ sterling on the unimproved value of all rateable properties within the Dry River Water Race Separate Rating District. A SEPARATE RATE of Three-eighths of a Penny (gd) in the £ sterling on the unimproved value of all rateable properties within the Moroa Water Race Separate Rating District. ALSO under the provisions of “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926,” to collect the annual recurring interest and sinking fund charges within the several Special Rating Districts of the County. SUCH RATES TO BE for the period commencing on the first day of April. 1941, and ending on the 31st day of March. 1942, and to be due and payable in one sum on the 27th day of June, 1941. at the office of the Council. THE VALUATION ROLLS are now open for inspection during office hours. PURSUANT TO Section 6-1 of "The Rating Amendment Act. 1925.” a Discount of 5 per centum will be allowed oil' the GENERAL AND HOSPITAL AND CHARITABLE AID RATES if the demand is paid in full within 30 days eff the date thereon.
