VOLUNTARY WORK
COMMITTEEMEN'S ACTIVITIES. Members of the executive committee of the Wairarapa Rugby Union are doing excellent voluntary work for the good of the game throughout the district. Members are giving their services freely in attendance at the gates and in carrying out minor maintenance work. The problem of marking out the fields was solved by the committee in a novel fashion. Weedkiller, mixed with whiting was used in a lawn-tennis marking machine. The result was most satisfactory, and saved the Union considerable expense.
