MATSUOKA ON JAPANESE POLICY “SOUTHWARD POLICY” PEACEFUL. BUT MAY BE RECONSIDERED. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.5 p.m.) TOKIO, May 30. The Foreign Minister (Mr Matsuoka) issued a statement that Japan's southward policy is peaceful, but should international developments render such a policy impossible. Japan may be forced to reconsider her attitude in light of the changed situation.
