WEDDING

THOMAS—STANTON. A wedding of interest to Masterton residents took place at St. Mary’s Church, New Plymouth, on May 17, when Carol, only daughter of Mr and Mrs R. C. Stanton. Omata, and formerly of Masterton, was married to Eric, son of Mr W. H. ThoiMas, New Plymouth. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Mr Stark. . The bride, escorted by her father, wore a gown of white satin with laceedged train and collar. Two white veletv orchids held her embroidered veil and she carried a sheaf of tuber roses, sweet peas and fern. Attending the bride as matron of honour was Mrs D. Allan, sister of the bridegroom, who wore a frock of mauve sheer with narrow ecru lace trimming. Her shoulder length veil to tone was held in place with a topknot of velvet flowers. Mr D. Asquith was best man.
