OLD MACKINTOSH
CAN BE USED FOR MANY PURPOSES. An old mackintosh may be used for many purposes. A waterproof apron for washing days and washing-up times, can be cut from the back. A shopping bag to carry in wet weather can be made from two pieces of equal size machined together; the handles are made from odd pieces with several rows of machine stitching to make them stiff. Odd squares of mackintosh sewed to the underside of cushions will fit them for picnics, garden or river use.
