PUBLIC NOTICES. FEATHERSTON COUNTY COUNCIL. RATE NOTICE. JQOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that it is the intention of the Council, at a meeting to be held in the County Council Chambers, Martinborough, on FRIDAY, the 13th day of June, 1941, under the provisions of Section 120 of the Counties Act, 1920, and amendments thereto, to make and levy:— A GENERAL RATE of Two Pence (2d) in the £ sterling on the unimproved value of all rateable properties appearing in the Valuation Rolls of the nine respective Ridings of the County. ALSO under the provisions of Section 52 of “The Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act. 1926,” to make and levy A HOSPITAL AND CHARITABLE RATE of Nine-Sixteenths of a Penny (9-16 d in the £ sterling on the unimproved value of all rateable properties appearing in the Valuation Rolls of the nine respective Ridings of the County. ALSO, pursuant to a Special Order under Sections 60 and 101 of “The River Boards Act, 1908,” made on the sth day of May, 1937, by the Waiohine River Board, to make and levy:— A GENERAL RATE of One Farthing Qd) in the £ sterling on the capital value of all lands within the Waiohine River Board Separate Rating District. AND ALSO, under the provisions of “The Water Supply Act, 1908,” and amendments thereto, to make and levy separate rates for the maintenance of Water Races within the respective Water Race districts as follows: — A SEPARATE RATE of One and Seven-eighths Pence (1-Jd) in the £ sterling on the unimproved value of all rateable properties within the Feathers-ton-Longwood Water Race Separate Rating District, including the Tauherenikau subdivision thereof. A SEPARATE RATE of Three Pence (3d) in the £ sterling on the unimproved value of all rateable properties within the Dry River Water Race Separate Rating District. A SEPARATE RATE of Three-eighths of a Penny (gd) in the £ sterling on the unimproved value of all rateable properties within the Moroa Water Race Separate Rating District. ALSO under the provisions of “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926,” to collect the annual recurring interest and sinking fund charges within the several Special Rating Districts of the County. SUCH RATES TO BE for the period commencing on the first day of April. 1941, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1942, and to be due and payable in one sum on the 27th day of June, 1941, at the office of the Council. THE VALUATION ROLLS are now open for inspection during office hours. PURSUANT TO v Section 64 of “The Rating Amendment Act, 1925,” a Discount of 5 per centum will be allowed off the GENERAL AND HOSPITAL AND CHARITABLE AID RATES if the demand is paid in full within 30 days of the date thereon.
