FOOD POISONING
POUR MEN TAKEN ILL IN AUCKLAND ONE DIES ON WAY TO HOSPITAL. OTHER THREE RECOVER. AUCKLAND. This Day. Suffering from some form of food poisoning, four employees of the Westfield Freezing Company’s works were taken suddenly ill at the works shortly before two o'clock this morning. After Doing attended by a doctor, they were taken id hospital by ambulance. On the way to hospital. George Matthews, a married man. aged 25. residing in the city. died. The others are 'Edmund Total, aged 26. Ponsonby: J. G. Cullen, aged -12. Newton: and Leonard Grundy, aged 40. Parnell. They were treated in Hie Casualty Department and. having recovered. returned to their homes. II is thought that the men may have drunk soup from u cooking urn. The noliea and Health Department are invcsligal-'
