Four Enemy Divisions Cease to Exist AS RESULT OF RECENT FIGHTING IN LAKES AREA VIGOROUS ARTILLERY AND PATROL ACTIVITY NEAR SOLLUM LONDON, May 26. In the Lakes area of Abyssinia four Italian divisions have ceased to exist as the result of recent lighting’. Successful attacks by the South African Air Force have been made on enemy troops and positions. Direct hits were scored on a bridge and a number of motor vehicles destroyed. Those captured include two generals. Mopping up operations continue in other parts of Abyssinia. In the Gondar area a force of 800 Italians has been captured. Vigorous patrol activity And artillery fire round Solium is reported. There is nothing new from Tobruk.
