PRESIDENT ROOSEVELT’S BROADCAST IN VIEW OF INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENTS. STATEMENT BY SECRETARY. LONDON. May 26. President Roosevelt’s broadcast tomorrow evening will be one of the most significant he has ever uttered. This description was given in Washington by the President’s secretary, Mr Stephen Early, who repeated a warning that it must not be presumed that the speech would be momentous. The President was engaged in revising his speech in view of international developments.
