Scores of homes have been destroyed at Mickirdy Camp. A party of 150 men has now reached Nipgon, and it is believed that the remainder are safe. The shifting of the wind saved the Nipgon lumbering centre, where there is much valuable pulp wood. Four million dollars’ worth of lumber were destroyed at St. Donat. Quebec.
