ON RUSSIAN FRONTIERS TROOPS MOVED ALSO TO WEST. HITLER'S SUPPOSED PLANS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON. May 22. The. Ankara correspondent ol' “The Tinies” says information IToni Ankara confirms Rumanian reports of a large concent rat it (let-man I roops in .\1 olda via ( inside the Rumanian frontier of Soviet Bessarabia), which was apparently completed at Hit 1 beginning' of May. This concenli'ation is estimated to com prise IS German ami LI Rumanian divisions. A movement of German troops from the Balkans to Belgium and France in addition to the Russian border was observed recently. Two theories are being hold abom the reasons for these concentrations: first, that Hitler desires to bring pressure oil the Soviet Union in order to obtain economic concessions and also to secure Soviet collaboration in the Middle East: and. secondly, that Hitler intends at all costs to attempt an invasion of Britain, and is therefore taking precautions against a Russian attack in the event of failure of the invasion.
