DEATH OF CENTENARIAN
MRS MARY ANN JACOBS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.> GREYMOUTH. This Day. Mrs Mary ‘Ann Jacobs, who attained her one hundrechh birthday on February 18 last, died at her residence in Cobden this morning. A native of the Isle cl' Wight. Mrs Jacobs arrived at Nelson with her husband and four children on the Adamant, after a voyage of 93 days. The family transhipped to lhe Wallace, arriving at Greymouth in 1874. and took up land at Omoto. where Mrs Jacobs resided for 64 years before removing to Cobden. Her husband died in 1922. Of a family of ton. one daughter and three sons survive, also 29 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren
