MASTERTON ART CLUB
CRITICISM NIGHT PRODUCES VARIED WORK. Tht? popularity of the monthly criticism of members’ work by Mr S. B. Maelennrm, A.R.C.A.. was shown again last night, when at the fortnightly meeting there was one of the best attendances since the recent founding of the Masterton Art Club. Mr Maclennan dealt in delail with a considerable variety of oils, watercolours pastels and pen drawings, the .subject mat, ter of which, was as varied as the media. Topical interest was given by a watercolour which arrived by post the day before the meeting from a member who is serving with the New Zealand forces in Egypt. A watercolour by a Chinese boy showed interesting didcrences from the European method of handling colour. AU meetings, il was decided, would be held in future on Thursday nights, the next to be on June 5.
