Leg Broken. Mrs Emily Mofl'ct, Essex Street, Masteerton, was admitted to hospital yesterday afternoon with a broken leg. By 42 votes to 22 the Auckland .Provincial Conference of the New Zealand i Farmers' Union yesterday favoured, making it compulsory for al! eligible; men to join the Home Guard. The conference also favoured compulsory attendance at parades. An amendment that compulsion should apply only to youths from 16 years of age to Territorial age was lost, also an amendment that all eligible mon bo posted Io Home Guard or E.P.S. organisations.
