PAHIATUA SALE
The Associated Auctioneers report on the Pahiatua weekly sale as folj lows:—A yarding of 2.000 mixed sheep, mostly wether hoggets, was offered to a full representation of buyers. Some 250 head of station cattle were also offered. These cattle comprised mostly fat and forward sorts, and keen competition was experienced in the whole of the offering. Quotations are: — Wether lambs (tops), 16s, 15s 9d, 15s 6d to 15s; medium sorts, 14s lOd, 14s, 13s 6d to 12s Id; b.f. lambs, 16s, 15s 7d, 14s 6d to 12s; ewe lambs, 20s, 19s to 17s; fat wethers (good prime). 24s Id, 20s 9d to 20s; store wethers, to 18s. Cattle: Fat P.A. heifers, £7 15s, £7 to £6 10s; fat P.A. cows, £6 14s, £6 11s to £6 7s; fat bullocks, £lO 17s. £9 to £8 14s; store cows (good condition), £5 7s 6d to £5; others, £4 10s to £3 15s; cows, r.w. P.A. bull, £4 14s; 18mos. steers (small), £4 4s to £3 15s; 2J-yr. steers,' £6 4s to £6 Is; 3J-yr. store bullocks, £7 to £6 18s; weaner P.A. steers, £3 9s. £3 3s to £2 15s. Pigs: Weaners, 10s to Bs.
