MAGISTRATE’S COURT

/ FORTNIGHTLY MASTERTON SITTING. Mr I-I. P. Lawry, S.M., presided over a sitting of the Masterton Magistrate’s Court this morning. A. W. Luscom.be was fined £1 10s and 10s costs on a charge of having failed to give way to traffic on his right. The defendant was also fined 10s and 10s costs for failing to carry a warrant of fitness. The following civil business was dealt with: —

Judgment for plaintiff by default was given in the following undefended civil claims: —

Long and Son v. K. H. Garside, claim £ll 14s 9d, costs £1 18s; J. D. Ross v. L. E. C. Mitchell, claim £l4 10s 2d, costs £2 16s.

In a judgment summons claim D. Albert was ordered to pay Lyttle and Co. Ltd. £7 0s 6d, in default 6 days’ imprisonment.
