MR. FUSSELL APPOINTED DEPUTY-GOVERNOR. ANNOUNCEMENT BY MR NASH. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Mr E. C. Fussell has been appointed Deputy-Governor of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, according to an announcement by the j A.cting-Premier, Mr Nash, today. . Mr Fussell has been on the staff of the Reserve Bank since its inception and was for a major part of the time Secretary of the Bank. Since April. 1939, he had been assistant to the Governors. Before coming to the Reserve Bank. Mr Fussell was Secretary to the General Manager of the National Bank. During the last few years he has had extensive experience overseas, especially in connection with the central banks of the world, including the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, the Federal Reserve banking system of the United States, the Central Bank of Canada, the Bank of England and several European central bank's. Mr Fussell. Mr Nash said "is a New Zealander, well lilted by disposition and extensive technical experience Io hold the position to which ho has now been appointed.
