SAVING PETROL

ARMY ECONOMY SCHEME IN BRITAIN. (By Telegraph— Press Association—Copyright) LONDON. May 20. The army has embarked on an economy campaign, specially of petrol, with the object of reducing the consumption of imported goods and thus helping to win lhe Battle of the Atlantic. It is hoped to save millions of gallons of petrol a year. The army has designated one day a week as a mechanical transport holiday, all vehicles except those necessary to maintain essential services being taken oil the roads.
