LATEST OFFICIAL FORECAST FINE SPELL. SHARP FROSTS PROBABLE. The following official weather report and forecast was issued by the Meterological Office, Wellington, at noon today:— FORECAST: Gradually decreasing southerly winds, tending westerly tomorrow. Weather becoming fine; cold at night with sharp frosts, but day temperatures moderating. FURTHER OUTLOOK: Prospect of two or three days' fine weather. LOCAL REPORT. Miss A. M. Brown reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today: — Barograph, 30.18. Shade temperature: Maximum 58.9, minimum 35.1, terrestrial 26.8. Sunshine, 5 hours 33 min. Rain, 41 points. Frost, 3.6 degrees. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 5 point of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today. Phases of the Moon: New moon. May 26. 5.18 p.m. SUN. I The sun rose today 7.26 a.m.. sets 5.9 p.m.
