NO ELECTION NECESSARY. THREE MEMBERS RETURNED UNOPPOSED. Owing to the number of nominations not exceeding the vacancies to be filled, Messrs H. H. Daniell. J. Macfarlane Laing and J. A. Russell have been elected unopposed as member? of the Trust Lands T rust. Nominations closed at noon today. The vacancies were caused by the retirement. by elTluxtion of time, of Messrs H. H. Daniell. J. Macfarlane Laing and J. H .Handyside. Mr Handyside did not offer himself for re-election as he is leaving Masterton. Those nominated were: Messrs H. H. Daniell. J. Macfarlane Laing (retiring members) and J. A. Russell, and these are declared elected. A fourth nomination was received but it was not valid.
