STOCK MARKET
CLEARING SALE AT TAUMATA. Messrs Wright Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report as follows: —We held our first clearing sale of the season at Taumata yesterday when we offered a herd of cows and heifers on account of Mr J. H. C. Proctor. The cows came forward in good condition and averaged £8 15s 6d, the top cows making up to £lO 15s. The 2-year springing Jersey heifers were a nice lot and sold up to £9 5s with an average of £8 4s. A line of exceptionally good heifer calves’ were offered and realised £4 17s 6d. Sundries: 3-cow L.K.G. milking plant, £6O; 75 gallon Alfa Lava separator. £l4 ss; Essex truck. £35; spring cart, £7.
