WEDDING

TEAL—LORENZEN. At the Methodist Church, Carterton. yesterday, Florence ‘ Jean, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs H. C. Lorenzen, of Seddon Street, Carterton, was married to Norman Frederick, youngest son of Mr and Mrs Chas. Teal, of High Street, Carterton. The Rev. J. A. Daglish performed the ceremony, and Mrs W. Vaughan presided at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a beautiful gown of white satin brocade, cut on classical lines. Her embroidered tulle veil was caught to her head with a coronet of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern. The bride was attended by her sister. Miss Evelyn May Lorenzen, who wore a pretty gown of rose pink taffeta, with a fully-flared skirt and gathered bodice, and a shoulder length veil to match. The neckline was relieved with a pretty shell cross on a silver chain, the gift of the bridegroom. She carried a bouquet of pink roses, chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern. The bouquets of the bride and the bridesmaid were! made by Mrs Dwane. Mr Raymond Geo. Eaton was best man, and was the recipient of an engraved cigarette case. To his bride, the bridegroom presented a beautiful double string of pearls. A reception was held in the Methodist Sunday School, where the guests! were received by the bride’s mother, who was attired in a saxe blue costume, with hat to tone, and a brown fur. She was assisted by the bridegroom’s mother, who wore a navy blue costume with hat and fur to tone. The usual toasts were honoured. Subsequently Mr and Mrs Norman F. Teal left by motor cai - for Wellington, the bride wearing a peacock blue costume with coat and hat to match, and a fur with navy accessories. Thej r will leave later by aeroplane for lhe South, and on their return they will take up their residence in Carterton. Many beautiful presents, including several cheques, were received by Mr and Mrs T®al.
