JAPANESE OFFENSIVE IN CHINA ATTEMPT TO ENCIRCLE 300,000 MEN. FIGHTING ON FOUR FRONTS. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) ■ (Received This Day, 10.5 a.m.) SHANGHAI. May 13. The Japanese have launched a May offensive on four fronts in China and also an attempt to encircle 300,000 Chinese troops between Ichang and Hankow. The operations have started against ten Chinese divisions in the Chekiang Province. A fourth front has developed in South China, with fighting along the Tungkiang River, in the Kwangtung Province.
