APPOINTMENT TO BE MADE BY AUSTRALIA. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright i SYDNEY. May' 13. The Commonwealth Government has decided to appoint an Australian Minister to China. Sir Frederick Stewart, announcing this tonight, said the Government's decision was a further recognition of the fact that. Australia possessed vital interests and had increasing responsibilities in the Pacific. He added that Chungking had welcomed the Commonwealth's decision.
