PUNITIVE ACTION
AGAINST IRAK REBELS. ROYAL AIR FORCE REPORT. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.35 a.m.) RUGBY, May 12. A R.A.F. Middle East communique deals with widespread and successful operations in Libya and Abyssinia, already reported and adds: —"In Iraq our aircraft have been engaged in punitive operations against the rebels in most districts where they have been observed. The South African Air Force and the Rhodesian squadron of the R.A.F. has continued to harass the Italians in Abyssinia, at Jimma, Amba Alagi and elsewhere. From till the operations under review, one of our aircraft is miss-1 ing.”
