IMPRESSMENT OF RIFLES

POSITION IN MASTERTON. With two days to go just over half of the number of .303 rifles in the district have been handed in to the Masterton Police Station, under the impressment order issued recently. All owners have been notified by registered letter as to their obligations. The Police Department advises all those who still hold rifles to avoid further delay, as all rifles should be handed over by Thursday. May 15. Owners are requested to produce their certificates of registration at. the time of handing in their rifles.
