DAYLIGHT LULL
LITTLE ENEMY ACTIVITY OVER BRITAIN. ONE NAZI FIGHTER SHOT DOWN. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 1.15 p.m.) RUGBY, May 9. An official communique states: "During daylight today there was very little activity by enemy aircraft. No reports have been received of bombs being dropped. A further communique states: “This afternoon an enemy fighter was destroyed in south-east England. The cause of destruction has not been ascertained.”
