INVALIDED SOLDIERS
PARTY REACHES AUCKLAND FROM FIJI. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. Three officers and 26 men invalided from Fiji have reached Auckland, mostly cases of illness and also several men injured. They commented favourably on life in Fiji. The camps, they said, were comfortable and the food good. All the men will be given a month’s leave and sent to their homes after medical examination. The party is commanded by Major C. D. Anderson, M.C., of Dunedin. Its members are: Lieutenant H. C. Parsons, Auckland; Lieutenant A. D. Sinclair; Sergeant K. M. Maben, Auckland; Lance-Corporal F. J. Dunam, Wairarapa; Lance-Corporal J. H. Bottom Sapper L. C. Gribble, Sapper E. R. Hayman. Christchurch; Driver G. S. Harrison, Napier; Signalman R. H. Burgess. Auckland; Privates H. N. Short. D. S. Donaldson. 11. J. Henderson, A. T. Day and R. J. Sycamore, all Auckland; Private R. H. Townsend, Dunedin, and Privates N. F. Watkins, J. H. Hawes, J. N. Moran, D. Foster, G. A. J. Smith, N. H. R. Davies. 11. N. Willetts and J. 11. Gardner.
