NAZIS & FRANCE

ALLEGED CONCESSIONS CONVERSATIONS IN PARIS NOT ENDED. IN SPITE OF DARLAN'S RETURN. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.25 a.m.) LONDON, May 8. According to the Associated Press of Great Britain, a Vichy semi-official spokesman stated that the German Government had made concessions to France because it wished to acknowledge the fidelity with which the French Government had observed the Armistice conditions. The Reich gesture had initiated a positive contribution toward closer ties between the two nations.

It is reported from Vichy that despite Admiral Darlan’s return, French and German conversations are continuing in Paris. Admiral Darlan has still not announced any French concessions.
