PETROL RATIONS
LATEST CUT IN AUSTRALIA. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) MELBOURNE, May 7. Private motorinrg will be reduced to 40 miles a week under the new petrol ration scale, details of which are announced by the Minister of Supply. Senator Mcßride, today. The minimum private monthly allowance from June 1 is five gallons for 8 h.p. cars rising to a maximum of II gallons for cars over 30 h.p. This ration is half the amount allowed when rationing was introduced in October.
