RABBITSKIN SALE
GOOD CLEARANCE EFFECTED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, May 6. The Dunedin Stock Agents and Woolbrokers’ Association reports that a heavy offering of approximately 64 tons was forward for today's rabbitskin sale. The sale was inclined to drag but buying power was in the benches and brokers effected good clearances. Exporters as usual ook ti bulk of the offerings, furrriers being principally interested in small parcels of winters. As compared with late rates low grades were on an average 6d a lb lower, while autumns generally were cheaper by 4d to 7d. with the exception of late autumns, which sold well up to last sale’s values. Incomings and winters sold exceptionally well and may be quoted firm. First early winter bucks sold to 132 d, first incomings to 124 d, second early winter bucks to 114 d, second incomings to 103 d and first early winter does to 99d.
The official range of prices is as follows: Small 41d to 44d a lb: runners 54d to 64d; light racks. 70.‘,d to 74d* prime racks 72d to 721 d; summers 55d to 58Jd; dawny autumns 72d to 74d; first early autumns 85d to 891 d; first late autumns 98Ad to 99.'.d; second early autumns 76d to 791a,' second late autumns 74id to 791 d; first incomings 120 d to 124 d; second incomings 100 d to 103 d; first early winter bucks J3od to 132 d: first early winter does 95d to 99d; second early winter bucks llOd to H4d; second early winter does 80d to 84d; first milky 61d to 65id; milky 52d to 54d; summer broken 57.’.d to autumn broken 67d to 681 d; winter broken 70d to 721 d; summer fawns 50Jd to 56Jd; autumn fawns 59d to 66d; summer black 591 d to 62d; autumn black 67d to 6’9d. Hareskins 24d to 301 d. Horsehair 18d to 28d. First ferrets 5s 5d to 9s lid; second ferrets 3s lid to 4s 7d.
