TIRAUMEA

WOMEN’S DIVISION DEMONSTRATION OF BANDAGING (“Times-Age” Special.) The Tiraumea branch of the Women’s Division held its monthly meeting in the Tiraumea Hall on Thursday, Mrs R. J. Harman, Senr., president, being in the chair. A letter of thanks was received from the Red Cross Society for a parcel of clothes and also for a parcel of bedsocks for the hospital ship Maunganui. During the afternoon a demonstration of bandaging was given by Miss A. Harman and Mrs N. Hislop. A number of hot water bag covers were received to be forwarded to the Red Cross Society and each person brought some article to be contained in two parcels for Tiraumea boys overseas. The wandering shilling competition, the prize being a case of apples, was won by Mrs M. Robbie, and the flower competition by Mrs J, Olsen. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mrs G. Hart, Miss Hart and Mrs Hislop.
