ROTARY CLUB

SPHERE OF VOCATIONAL GUIDANCE. BUSINESS AT LUNCHEON. the weekly luncheon meeting of the Masterton Rotary Club was'held in the Y.M.C.A. rooms today. The president, Mr P. F. Fagan, presided over a good attendance. Messrs G. T. O'Hara Smith and G. A. Campbell (Masterton) and the Rev. David Calder (Wellington) were guests. A cordial welcome was extended by the president to Mr Calder. Dominion Secretary of the British and Foreign Bible Society, who is at present visiting the Wairarapa. Mr Calder in reply stated as Rotary was a means of emphasising the place of human kindness in business life so the Bible Society was the Christian business man's effort to control a great church effort on sound business lines. Because of this both had been eminently successful institutions. A most interesting presentation was made by the members of the Vocational Service Committee comprising Messrs F. E. Wells. J. G. S. Thompson and E. J. Brown. This covered a summary of opinions gathered on a number of interesting debatable problems within the sphere of Vocational SerOn the motion of Mr J. H. Cunningham, a hearty vote of thanks was passed to the committee for their contribution.
