CIVILIAN AIRCRAFT
v NEEDS OF BRITAIN AND CHINA. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WASHINGTON, April 29. President Roosevelt announced that he was requesting a survey of civil aviation facilities to ascertain how many planes could be bought for the defence of the democracies. He said the belligerent democracies really needed civilian transport aeroplanes. The "New York Times" comments that all types of civil planes, including trainers, will probably be sent to Britain and China.
