WOMEN’S MISSIONARY AUXILIARY. The monthly meeting of the Methodist Women’s Missionary Auxiliary was held in the Methodist Schoolroom on Thursday afternoon and took the form of a service of praise and prayer. Miss V. Jackson presided over a large attendance and Mrs W. Flansen officiated at the organ. After Miss E. Beale had outlined the proceedings she called upon Miss V. Jackson to read “The Magnificent,” the hymn of praise of Mary the mother of Jesus. Hymns and. prayers were read by Mesdames L. Jansen, H. S. Kings, E. Martin, A. J. Daysh and H. Speight. A duet “Consecration,” was sung by Mesdames Daysh and Speight. After afternoon tea had been served by Mrs C. Goudge and Miss V. Jackson, the president welcomed Major and Mrs Dick, of the Salvation ArmyMajor Dick gave a most interesting and enjoyable address on “Hymns and their Writers.” A vote of thanks was accorded the speaker, and prayer and the Benediction closed a very happy and profitable meeting.
